went out with some gorlfrands to the launch party for the Edward Sanchez Vanity Lounge at Katsuya, a great night where we did a bit more eating and chatting than mingling.. it was a nice GNO in my opinion.  also an excuse to wear nice shoes.

and of course a big congratulations to Edward Sanchez for fulfilling his dream!  Always a great story.  Be sure to check out his new Vanity Lounge for a makeover and great products that you can't find anywhere else in the city.

wore this out to the hubby's birthday dinner a couple weeks ago.. yess.. just getting around to posting it.  we went to lake charles that weekend too... then i went to LA for hardfest to meet up with tramanh.. to party hard and spend time at being lazy at our fabulous hollywood hills home.  anyways this dress was so good.. on such a good deal.. that me and phistars all bought it... online. and luckily for us it fits each of us perfectly. what's not to love.

last week attended the Brilliant Lecture series, featuring Mr. George Clooney.  lucked out with a last minute ticket, 8 rows back from the stage. glorious!  now i was never a huge Clooney fan, sure he's handsome, but after the lecture i can definitely see his charm.  so charismatic, charming, and funny.  even the men in the audience (albeit few) enjoyed it.  It was like watching inside the actors studio live.. although we were deeply missing James Lipton, Miss Lynn Wyatt tried her best i guess.. especially to still be able to walk in 5+inch louboutins.  I will be that svelte when i get to be her age.  all in all a good night.  after he headed off to a fundraiser VIP dinner in which the fabulous Marc&Duyen attended.  JEALOUS.

Wore this with a mini reunion with some of the girls from this years AM Fashion show.  What is AM? well that's a whole 'nother post.  anyways was a good night, girl talk, and drinks.  also these shoes.. i've had them for over a year and just now really using them. what took me so long?

This past week has been crazy.. it's like i've gotten a special sneak peek into the lives of the local socialites.

anyways there was a Gala on Tuesday night, the Supermodels of the 80s Luncheon for I Am Waters on Wednesday, and my fave of the week so far, a special GiltGroupe luncheon yesterday where i got to meet both the Editorial Director and PR Manager for Gilt... while dining at the new local fave Triniti, not to mention the rest of the dining company including pretty much the fashion rep from each of the top media sources in the city, ad-midst a few fellow fashion bloggers like myself.  Lucky girl I know.

last wednesday was DRU's birthday.  the big 31.  so we ventured out along with original WWT poster Jeannie, who was in town from LA.  Dinner at new dining spot Felix 55, then for after dinner drinks and people watching at Saint Genevieve.  I'm sure DRU will be doing a post soon on his birthday suit.  Anyways it was a good time, reminiscing with the original college BFFs, and amazed that we're all in our 30s, and how we still feel far from being "grown up"
