Halloween Howto : The Nasty Cut SFX

-->
Hello Friends!

If you remember my very first WWT post ever, you’ll recall that it was Zombie Alice for Halloween! Fitting because Halloween is my absolute favorite.

Issa (among others) has been picking my skull for weeks now about how to do all kinds of FX… so, I thought I’d loop you all in to the discussion, because I know everyone here is interested in winning the grand prize at the Fright Fest, or The Monster Ball, or whatever it’s called in your neck of the woods.

Before you get started you’ll need to swing by my post at Examiner to see what supplies you’ll need to gather. But for efficiency sake, you can peep this slide show now, and go back to that later:

green beer day.

asymmetrical cardi: david bitton buffalo, jeans: papaya, platform heels: jessica simpson, tank: diy

hope everyone had a great st. patty's day.. and that y'all were able to get up for work today :) this is what i wore to work and afterwards yesterday.. though for afterwards i changed to slightly lower pumps.. i didn't want to hobble through st patty day festivities in nearly 5 inchers.

anyways.. the tank was a really random DIY.. remember how i said last weekend was dreary? well since we were stuck at home.. i decided to attempt the shredded tee DIY.. i had wanted a simple slightly more conservative take on it.. so i worked on the side with thin strips.. after just over an hour i had only like an inch done on all the strips.. wut the heck. i also thought i was going to get carpal tunnel. (that warning label should be attached to all the shredded tee diys) two days later and i guess i was done.. done enough to wear it anyways. not sure i would do again.. it's a lot of work. especially when i'd rather just sew something :)
