Summer Pale

top: Laundry | belt: vintage | shorts: Abercrombie | heels: Zara

I purposely went for a muted nude look with this outfit--I wanted pale.  I expected pale.  But when I looked at the photos, I thought to myself "Wow...PALE."

Honestly, I think that the paleness in these particular photos is mainly due to camera and lighting trickery (this isn't denial. I. Swear.) I admittedly am not known to spend much time outdoors though...although I do begrudgingly apply my separate SPF everyday anyways.

Wearing sunblock is not fun.  I advocate it and insist upon it--but my reaction to putting it on my face everyday is definitely ughughugh.  I previously was using a sunblock that started off well, but then our relationship went greasily awry.  And so, the search continues.

Issa and I recently attended a Clarins event that centered around their re-formulated Double Serum, which I had actually been curious about for a while after reading a number of positive reports. Besides being a SPF advocate I'm also a big (and not at all begrudging) serum advocate.   Hearing their serum gospel from Christopher Truffa was fantastic, but he had a gospel truth that even trumped their star serum.  "The best thing you can put on your skin is SPF!"  Of course.  Of course it is.

And so, the search continues...

    1. Thank you! It's definitely a pain to have long hair in the summer though...
