last night i stopped by the grand opening for Jonathan Adler's newest spot in West Ave, which included an appearance by the man himself.  considering the crowd that would be in attendance and after a text to fellow blogger MMM-Style where i asked the question that i always ask myself before dressing for an event.

"edgy or classy"

so of course i decided to merge the two.  i passed up all the shift dresses in my closet. then my epiphany - Chanel + tiger body suit?  WHY YES.

quite fitting since the entire store was a happy mishmash of colors, patterns, ironic quotes and brass banana figurines. my kinda place.  i'll be back to get you brass squirrel letter opener, oh yes.

the night ended after a stopover to Lucho in uptown park for the trunk show of Uzo Umbrella's and the Hanh Collection hand painted bags.  So happy my +1 Fifi could join me
