What a Tees.

I never understood organic apparel. On one hand, I can understand the appeal of organic food (but I still don’t think a banana should be twice as expensive for it). I mean, you’re eating fruits, right? Stuff that goes into your body. But organic tees… do I… eat it? Is it like that delectable pair of edible undergarments that I purchased for my friend’s engagement party? No one knows.

And so here I have received an organic tee from brandofthefree and decided to take it out for a test drive. Let’s not kid ourselves, you’re a bit older and more sophisticated to be wearing t-shirts that say “I’m kind of a big deal” or some lame sexual innuendo one with a picture of nuts and bolts that says “Check out my nuts”. I'd prefer clever t-shirts like this instead.

If you plan on ordering, order a size larger than you would normally wear- they run a bit snug, but the t-shirts are a pretty decent price when you factor in the free shipping, dropping it to cheaper than urban, but almost guaranteed you won’t run into some punk kid wearing it. Plus, yes, the t-shirts are 100% organic, so that means you can sleep easier knowing you don’t get that runoff from cotton fertilizer causing algal blooms and killing off ponds.

And, if this economy keeps getting worse, out of all my clothing you can bet this organic t-shirt would be the first one I would eat.

  5. I've never really understood organic clothing either to be honest, I can understand sweat shop free or fair trade...but chemicals on my cotton doesn't bother me, especially since I wash it with detergent anyhow. I do love that t-shirt though!!

You may want to add some hot sauce on it too when the time comes. :p Trust me, it'll make all the difference! LOL.

  8. Yummy! Organic t-shirts! I never thought of them as a food group, but I will consider it if, as you say, the economy continues to go down the loo. I really like how rich the color of your shirt is - usually I think of organic tees as beiges and browns.

Anonymous- Haha, no I'm not sucking in my chest. I have weird posing going on. As for my belly looking swimsuit ready, I guess you'd have to ask Roz and Issa- we were all at the pool last weekend
