the other day i was given the opportunity to tour the offices of whiteflash.com, an online jewelry boutique (with offices in Houston) who are experts in diamonds and custom jewelry. you can even design your own piece! their in-house designs are definitely worth noting, varying from classic, contemporary, vintage, to trendy... and i was lucky enough to score a personal tour with the ceo herself debi wexler.
first, lemme say, she was a complete sweetheart and since this is a fashion blog, so well put together too! amazingly, she used to own quite the successful PC business prior to starting whiteflash.com, which won me over since my full time job is in information technology. when i asked her how she got into the jewelry industry, she put it best when she said, people are intelligent and when you put your mind to it, you can learn to do anything. over lunch we chatted about doing what you love and enjoy.. as we fawned over trays of whiteflash.com inventory.
what impressed me the most was that she is also a philanthropist helping out the victims of conflict/blood diamonds. with their dreams of africa site, they have custom designs, like this gorgeous pendant where 100% of the profits goes to the wccci. the pendants, earrings, and bracelets are the perfect addition to any jewelry collection.. because they're so versatile and great for your everyday bling. and it's for a good cause!
it was a great visit, and she didn't let me leave empty handed, but with a gorgeous petite dreams of africa diamonds for life pendant, which made the visit even more fantastic.
buying diamonds online?! o ya, i was a bit skeptical at first too.. but really it seems online shopping even for diamonds can get you the best value for your money.. but make sure you go through a trusted source... one with certified diamonds and appraisals.
if you are in the market for some bling.. definitely head over to whiteflash.com | dreamsofafrica.org and if the hubby is reading this.. i sure do like this setting.. *cough*
thanks again to debi and whiteflash.com for being so gracious and allowing me to invade their studio and a big thanks to 'my gurl' romey for setting it all up!
