procrastination


sweater, F21. jeans, proenza schouler for target. booties, nine west. clutch, bloomingdale's.

i'm a little behind on posts – this is an outfit that i wore last weekend. the booties, which i bought at century 21 for even less than the sale price currently on the nine west site, were one of the few purchases i made in new york. the sweater is another recent purchase. i was won over by the nautical feel of it and the little gold buttons on the shoulder – and the color makes it all the more appropriate for fall.

so i actually wrote this post earlier this week, when i was supposed to be studying for a finance exam for one of my grad school classes, hence the title of the post. i got the exam out of the way last night, but after four crazy weekends in a row (ike – nyc – dallas to visit the FILs – birthday weekend), with the exception of a time slot allotted to watch the texas vs. ou game (hook ‘em horns!!!), i’m shutting myself in this weekend to get a jump start on upcoming end-of-semester research papers/projects/final exams.

so while i'm spending my weekend with my textbooks, i hope everyone else's weekend is wonderful!

    *sigh* completely sympathetic to your book cramming. I'm doing the same myself :(

    Anyway i wanted to say those shoes are fabulous and the nautical stripes are too!. Its like the generic sailer look withought the boring blue swashed over it :)

    i know, i should be working on a research paper right now, but i just had to take a moment to thank you all for the comments!

    @nina, savvy mode & maveri_ck - yes, century 21 is pretty amazing! unfortunately, we went on a friday afternoon and the place was sheer mayhem, every aisle, department and floor slammed w/ people. we couldn't tolerate the crowds, so we ended up not staying long. :( i've made a mental note to go EARLY in the morning next time.

    @songy, danz & melmo - its really hard for me not to smile in pictures -- the fiance caught me mid-laugh in this one. but i do think there's nothing more beautiful than a person smiling genuinely, no?

    @eelie - i loved the fact that the sweater had a nautical look sans the typical sailor blue & white.

    thank you all again for the lovely comments! as you can see, i'm still struggling with the procrastination, but it's good to know i'm not alone in my academic sufferings. =P

    I love those booties! I remember coming across tulip-looking booties for just $15 back in August.. I tried them on and had absolutely no idea how i could have pulled them off.. so I forgot about them.
