Marrakesh, Morocco

The next stop in our adventure was the country of Morocco, and our first time hitting Africa.  I was most excited for this leg of the trip, and had some serious research and planning beforehand, which paid off.  We stayed at the most AMAZING Riad Snan 13 (sort of like a fancy B&B, traditional Moroccan home, a super GORGEOUS one.  Stephan come decorate my house!!).  It was like we were owners of this gorgeous home with a chef and workers at our every call.  who knew honeydew gazpacho could be so delicious. It felt pretty surreal.  Our whole Moroccan experience felt that way actually.  Back to Marrakesh, our first stop in Morocco and our longest stay.   We spent the day meandering through the souks to Jemaa el-Fnaa, the big square. And of course one afternoon headed to Jardin Majorelle to check out the YSL memorial and the love gallery.

also note - Morocco is a Muslim country and I found everyone to be oh so welcoming and friendly, of course there are the souks, markets with some pushy salesmen but that's everywhere, and also i dressed to respect their religion, and tried to stay majorly covered up, of course the cold front that was there also helped :)
