Bom Dia

HAY GUISE!!  so i've actually been awhile for quite sometime.. on our annual overseas adventure (if you follow me on instagram, then you would've known that.  tsk tsk)  anyways our first stop was in Lisbon, Portugal.. or Lisboa, as the locals call it.

After a long overnight flight to London, an evening there (plus the shock that it was actually pretty darn cold out there) and an extra early flight the next morning we arrived, with what little sleep we had, to explore and maximize what little time we had there.  We hiked up to the Castle, ate a Bifana... twice. stayed at a super cute place (The Lisbonaire -  would do business again.  It's more private suites with kitchenettes than hotel, perfect for us, spacious and clean) tried this cherry-like liquor shot a ginhinja with all the locals, hiked up and down between rossio square and the barrio alto. EFF that funicular, although i wished we did pay the 4 euro for that 2 minute ride it up at times. FEEL THE BURN. the trams were quite great to photograph too. skipped out on the Fado bars, but did do late night strollin'

did the trip to Belem for the pastel de nata from Pastéis de Belém (they were delicious) and to tour the monastery. ate fresh seafood as well as that Bacalhau salt cod, and drank a glass of port at sunset.

another cool european city scratched off the list.

  1. Oh my goodness, look at all the incredible things you guys are seeing on this trip! That is so amazing. I've only been to Asia a few times but have always dreamed about traveling across Europe. There's so much history, culture and beauty to see everywhere. Traveling is so great, and I wish I had more time to do it! Thanks for sharing these pics, I'm living vicariously through you guys :)

  17. GURRRRRRL.

I love that you don't really look like a typical American tourist. No sweatshirt, no "reasonable shoes" (ie., nasty, broken-in sneaks), no ugly hats... You look chic and super euro, like you belong there... just strolling from your flat to the nearest cafe.

    Great pics, Issa. <3
