Gone Country.

Howdy, WWT readers. I've been perpetually MIA because, well, I've had to shoot a lot of photos lately. And the last thing you want to do after editing photos all day until your eyes dry up is take a photo of yourself. It's like a pediatrician wanting to go home and see their kids after seeing other people's children at work all day. Well, no, not really.

Anyway, my friend Yen got last minute tickets to the prized chili cookoff tickets at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Friday and she called me up to go check it out. It was my first time to go to the chili cookoff portion (it's not open to the public), so I decided to deck myself out in as country a theme as possible.

Orange Suede Jacket: $7 at a Thrift store. The tag says "SSSSSSSSSS". Good luck trying to find that. Tie: F21, Shirt: Express, Vest: Original Penguin, Jeans: BDG, Shoes: Kenneth Cole

Later that night, I went to some karaoke joint, a sketchy club, and Candy in midtown where I was told I looked "fresh to def". Right on.

If you've ever been wanting to check out Houston, now's the time! I think the rodeo officially starts up next week- I go every year to eat an assortment of deep fried foods (I don't actually watch the rodeo portion) located on the large fairgrounds (you can find deep fried or roasted turkey legs, deep fried oreos/snickers/cheesecake/twinkies/green tomatoes/bacon/basically anything).

Cheers!
