homage.



for this years costume.. i was completely inspired by a dance from cris angel's cirque du soleil show Believe in vegas (see vid below), which aired on the finale of SoYouThinkYouCanDance.. as well as a mix of lolitagoth and victorian styles..(though the hubby's mask is very Donnie Darko.) i made the masks (paper mache), hoop skirt, bloomers, and mini top hat (i'll take a better photo of it later).

    Okay, this is wild and playful and arty and silly all at the same time. Totally awesome. Also, the rigidity of the structures in the bloomers/corset give it a sliiiiiightly naughty feel as well. Which is badass!
